HIMAN is the acronym for Health Information Managers’ Association of Nigeria.
The only registered body for health information management professionals in Nigeria. Originally established to protect members’ interest as Nigerian Medical Records Association in 1966. The body had gone through transformations in the last five decades. In the year 2010, the body was rebranded and registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a corporate body to reckon with in healthcare delivery system of the country. It collaborates with the Health Records Officers’ Registration Board of Nigeria on matters related to education and professional regulations. Membership is open to all licensed HIM professionals upon induction.

The Association is delighted to announce the reappointment of Alhaj Muhammad Ibrahim Mamikupa as the first substantive Registrar of Health Records Officers’ Registration Board of Nigeria and the spate of development in the profession.
